To achieve the perfect print, a printer first needs to be profiled.  Also know as an ICC profile, a printer profile is matches a specific combination of printer ink and printer paper to ensure that the ink is correctly dosed, depending on the paper, to give the most accurate output of the photograph being printed.


You can also use generic ICC profiles designed for standard printer inks and papers and these can be used as a starting point for any of the papers that wel sell.  To download one of these, simply visit Fotospeed , Hahnemühle or Canson .

Free Custom ICC Profiles

At photopaper.co.uk, we want you to be 100% happy with your prints and so offer a free printer profiling service for papers that we sell.  The process is relatively straightforward and only needs to be done once.  It involves you telling us the paper(s) that you'll be using and then sending is a test print from your printer, produced using the free Adobe Color Print Utility (ACPU).  You then send us your print whereby it will be analysed using Fotospeed's state of the art equipment and a custom ICC profile produced which is delivered back to you by email.  You can use this service free of charge for any papers Fotospeed, Hahnemuhle or Canson papers that you buy from us.
